UNDP SUPPORT TO HOUSING REHABILITATION CASH FOR WORK-BOLOLO AND KIRIKASAMMA NEW YORK COMMUNITIES OF BAMA LGA BORNO STATE

Cash for work Bama was supported by UNDP and funded by European Union; implemented by Herwa Community Development Initiative.

The two targeted locations are

• Bololo Community
• Kirikasamma Community

CHALLENGES

• For people to access their cash they had to come to Maiduguri to withdraw
• Beneficiaries Submitting multiple Account details to cheat
• Dormant accounts stopping Cash Transfers
• Many beneficiaries had no Accounts
• Use of ATM Cards for subsequent Payments
• Use of BVN Numbers to identify duplication
• Activation of Dormant Accounts
• Assistance to register Majority of the beneficiaries offline at Bama
